The Wemenders Foundation was founded in 2006. The main statutory objectives of the Foundation are raising public awareness and supporting people looking for help in the are of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of civilization diseases. By educational activities and improving knowledge about civilization diseases, the Foundation increases availability of information and awareness among young people and adults in this field.
Apart from spreading knowledge, the Foundation's mission is to facilitate communication between people looking for help and units providing this help in the area of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of civilization diseases; Building a community of both people looking for help, as well as units providing help, the Foundation has an active influence on facilitating the access to free exchange of experience and increases the opportunity to receive support in the process of recovery.
At the same time, by supporting other projects and functioning parties interested in developing knowledge and actions within the scope of prevention, diagnosis and treatment of civilization diseases, the Foundation contributes to the change in public attitude and in the shape of actions that are taken in order to increase the effectiveness of prevention and treatment.
